About Me

DSCN0880.JPG

I am not afraid to try any medium, I have learned that i only need to make what i love and the rest will fall into place..

With an emphasis on drawing, I received my BA from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks in 1999 and laid the foundation for solid compositions in my glasswork. Since 2006, I have maintained a small home studio in Alaska so that I can create with glass while being a stay at home mom with my two daughters.  I exhibit my work throughout Alaska and Washington State. I attended Pilchuck Glass School for the first time in 2010 and again in 2012.

I am obsessed with glass. I took a stained glass class in 2002 and have been fascinated with working in glass ever since. I also work in mosaic, drawing, printmaking., and painting. screen printing textiles has become the majority of my business during farmers markets and holiday shows and has been an awesome (and less fragile) creative outlet.  Most recently, I have been using my torch many days during the week......I upgraded to a larger, more powerful torch, and use borosilicate glass to create pendants and small sculptures.  currently, my most popular pieces have been small blown glass vessels that hang upside down and contain a little airplant.  my goal is that I can continue to develop my glass art skills and always be grateful that I have been able to do what I love full time.

Everything that I make is completely original and made with the same quality that I would expect to receive.
